Thematically it may seem an afterthought, but the new track from Swedish vocalist Thomas Feiner and Italian trumpet player Giorgio Li Calzi was in fact written before the onset of the global pandemic. And then completed in the midst of it, as a distance collaboration over closed borders.
A sonic widescreen anthem, its lyric reflects over the ebb and flow of fortune and hubris; privileges taken for granted and later lost. An ever flowing cycle through human history for sure. But today, as turbulence builds and the waves grow on a more global scale, what will remain standing for other tomorrows and what was just built on sand?
